The much delayed Summer Supper was enjoyed by 100 members and guests. The warm evening was perfect for pre-entertainment drinks in our Treasurer’s delightful town garden in Sandwich, before making our way to the Guildhall.
The Delf Room, decorated in a musical theme, rang with laughter as the Good Gnu’s performed from their wide repertoire of songs by Flanders and Swan, Richard Stilgoe and Tom Lehrer and more. We all joined with great gusto in the chorus of “Mud Mud Glorious Mud”. A delicious buffet followed, wine flowed as a very happy evening drew to its inevitable close.
The raffle raised £335. Your amazing generosity will contribute to our work supporting young artists in local schools. Our thanks to Henrietta Kelly, our wonderful ticket seller.
We would also like to thank Diana Hodgetts (table flower arrangement) and Mona Hodgetts (general planning and organisation) for helping your committee to deliver this wonderful event.
