SUMMARY:Annual Supper Evening 2023
DESCRIPTION:We had a very enjoyable summer supper for our members and their guests in July. This year we decided to change the venue to the beautiful St Mary’s Church (Arts Centre) in Sandwich. It proved to be a popular choice and we were able to take advantage of the size to easily accommodate everyone. We also decided to try a new caterer\, The Dining Club in Deal. They offered a wider choice of menus and dealt admirably with the limited kitchen facilities at St Mary’s\, as most of the preparations were done off site. We all really enjoyed a delicious supper. Our entertainment for the evening was the ever popular Bertie Pierce. Bertie has presented lectures to us on several occasions\, so we had an inkling of how he could amuse us…and he certainly did! Terrific magic before supper and wonderful tricks during the meal as he went around the tables. The event was a great success and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone next year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have 86 photos of the Summer Supper\, if you have attended and would like the link\, please contact us at sandwich@theartssociety.org \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Annual Summer Supper Evening 2023 takes place on 14th July 2023. This year we will be heading to the historic and atmospheric St Mary’s Arts Centre for the evening\, pre-dinner drinks followed by a delicious buffet supper. Arts Society favourite\, Bertie Pierce* will delight and entertain us. This is a very social event and you are encouraged to invite non-members to join you. More details\, including the cost of tickets\, closer to the date. \n\n\n\n*Tony Liddington will now be booked to give a lecture in 2024
